Logos I ♥: TOUR DE FRANCE

NISAM IMALA POJMA da postoji sajt posvecen biciklistickoj tipografiji. Zapravo muzej biciklisticke tipografije! BikeType. I ono sto je kao prva informacija o njima doslo do mene je plakat posvecen ovogodisnjim Lensovim uspesima. Mr Armstrong u akciji, ista fotka puta tri, malo rotiraj levo, malo desno, spajaju se u tocku i u slovu O. Utisak kretanja. Jasno, zicer efektno. Zuta, crna i crvena. Odmah me podsetilo na jedan od mojih omiljenih kaligrafskih logoa - Tour de France.

Ne do kraja utegnut, sa nekim malo smesnim i izlomljenim slovima, kao sto je "a" u "france", ili malim "f" u istoj reci, pa velikim "r" kao nekakav small caps. I kljucni deo - slova "OuR" u reci "tour" koja cine biciklistu!!! Uz jedan suncani krug koji dopunjava bicikl praveci prednji tocak, zabavno, znalacki i usvezavajuce infiltriranim u logo. R biciklista... nemam komentara!

I dalje, naravno, sistem asocijacija ide ka Kraftwerk albumu Tour de France i ovo bi bio proper Fan Kit:

I HAD NO IDEA that there's this site about bike type. Or to be exact a museum of bike typography. BikeType. The first info I got about them was this poster dedicated to Lance's successes in 2009. Mr Armstrong in action, the same photo times three, rotate left, rotate right, all three gathering in the tire, and you've got the movement. Clean and effective, in yellow, black and red. Reminded me instantly of that logo I adore - Tour de France.

Not entirely tightened in scholar typographers manner, that silly broken letter "a" in "france" or lowercase "f" in the same word, then "r" like a bit of small caps to the same word. And the key part - letters "OuR" in the word "tour" making this stylized cyclist!!! One sunny spot making the front wheel in this crazy fun way, infiltrated smartly and refreshingly. R cyclist... I'm absolutely speechless!

And further association is Kraftwerk's album Tour de France, naturally and this would be a proper Fan Kit: see desktop, listen and watch
