Angelika in NY

NEDAVNO JE iz Taschen radionice izasla nova knjiga iz serijala chic city vodica koje uredjuje Angelika Taschen.

Ovoga puta se ne radi o onim divnim vodicima srednjeg formata u debelim providnim plasticnim koricama sa naslovom u beloj sito stampi, ovo je velika knjiga (oko 24x30cm, debela oko 4-5cm i teska skoro 3 kile!).

Na naslovnoj sve divota do divote: na hot pink podlozi (cudan izbor za Njujork, prim.aut.), Odri u Dorucku kod Tifanija, Yellow Cab, New Museum, Jonathan Adler i Dean&Deluca kafa za poneti. Eto, sad mi se opet ide tamo...

Na Taschen sajtu mozete prelistati celu knjigu, ali je uzivancija odusevljavati se real life knjigom. Samo cu vam reci da cete medju koricama svoje knjige umotane u plasticnu foliju, naci savijenu mapicu, plavu perlicastu i plastificiranu, lepu i izdrzljivu. Ovako nekako izgleda, a evo uz mapu i nekoliko dvolista.





Narucite preko Amazona (~1700 din) ili, ako nemate strpljenja, skocite do neke od gradskih knjizara (~3500 din).

Taschen presented us with the new super book, and it is another chic city guide edited by Angelika Taschen.

This time it is not one of thise lovely medium size guides, wrapped in that hard transparent plastic cover with the title white silk screen printed. This one is really big, 12.2 x 9.8 x 1.8 inches big and weighing 6.2 pounds! On the hot pink background cover (a strange color choice, I'd add) - illustrations of a few supers: Audrey in Breakfast at Tiffany's, Yellow Cab, New Museum, Jonathan Adler and Dean&Deluca takeaway coffee. And now I want to go there again...

On Taschen's web site you can browse through the entire book (!), but the true thrill is to leaf through the real paper one. You'll find this lovely pearly turquoise map enclosed between the book's covers. It is laminated, folded and seem durable. Here's a few spreads from the book.
