Prvih 10 gradova iz serije knjizica Wallpaper* City Guides koje je ovaj slavni design/lifestyle magazin priredio zajedno sa velikim Phaidon-om pojavili su se u prodaji kao aplikacije za iPhone. U osnovi izgledaju kao da je telefon progutao i pametno svario W* knjigicu.

Ko je voleo te slatke male vodice, volece ih i u ovoj novoj elektronskoj formi. Iako je uvek divno kupiti prave papirne W* guides (narocito ona divna nova poklon pakovanja od kojih moja omiljena kombinacija izgleda kao poklon iz Tifanija), kada ste u hodu treba vam sto manje bagaza, a i ako niste control freak i dozvoljavate da stvari krenu raznim putanjama, kul je da informacije imate dostupne on the go. Ovi vodici pokrivaju velike svetske centre u kojima dostupnost sadrzaja svakako nece naici na tehnicku prepreku.






A kako i najizdrzljiviji bazatori moraju jesti, a kad si u Njujorku opcije su beskonacne u kom god delicu da se nadjes pa izbor zna biti tezak. Zato su dobri ljudi iz MenuPages napravili aplikaciju za iPhone koju mozete dwnldovati besplatno. Pretrazujte po tipu hrane, pregledajte reviews, jelovnik i cene. To sve ako niste bas previse gladni. Ako jeste, dobra stara shac metoda will do just fine.

The first ten cities from the Wallpaper* City Guides series of books this famous design/lifestyle magazine edited together with the great Phaidon, emerged in the market as iPhone apps. Basically, they look as if the phone swallowed and smartly digested a W* book.

Whoever loved those sweet little guides will also love them in this new electronic form. Although it is always lovely to buy real paper-made W* guides (especially those new gift-packages, my favorite combination being the one that looks like a present from Tiffany's), when you are walking you need as less baggage as possible, and even firther, if you are not a control freak and you allow for the things to take their course, it is cool to have information available to you on-the-go. These guides cover large world centers in which the availability of the content for sure will not encounter technical difficulties.

And since even the most endurable wanderers need to eat, when in New York, the options are endless no matter which square millimeter you’re at, so making a choice can become hard. This is why the good people of MenuPages made an iPhone app which can be downloaded for free. Search by the type of food, check reviews, menus and pricing. All that in case you’re not too hungry. If you are, the good old “looks cool” method will do just fine.
