Teksture, materijali, boje, svetlucavo i cizelirano, mat i mirno. Predivno. I pored tog "dizajna" zaista nosi nesto neuobicajeno, zapanjujuce, lebduce, neobjasnjivo. It's a kind of magic.

Oba hvataju osecaj grandioznosti, sveobuhvatnosti, niti u vremenu, porodicnog stabla i prostiranja, i privremenosti, krhkosti. Velikog i bitnog, i malog i isto tako bitnog.

....................................................................................................
EVEN THOUGH the occasion is a sad one, these days
are passing with a lot of pictures of Orthodox Church's ceremonious vestments. Now that I've over passed all those religion and priests issue in my head, I find it very easy to enjoy the look of these robes, their decoration, embroidery

I don't know much about symbols, hierarchy, but these fascinate me. Textures, materials, colors, sparkly shiny details, and matte clear warm whites. Incredibly beautiful. Along with the beauty of design they carry that something that is inexplicable, stunning, precious. I'm absolutely sure that Japanese, Eskimo or African with no clue that this is priest's robe would get it right away. Just like we know when we see some other less known religious symbols. They have something special that they carry, something that doesn't just describe something that cannot be seen or touched, but also makes it present in a way. It's a kind of magic.

That divine ceremonial tone leaves me breathless and melting. It reminds me of those incredible costumes for Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette. Ok, I'm so boring talking over and over about this movie, but you either get it or you don't. It's that sense of greatness, grandeur, a thread in time, sense of belonging, and also feel of fragility and temporality that both of these catch. Sense of the large and important and the small and equally important.
