In Japan, the third day of the third month is celebrated as the Doll Festival or Girls' Day, originally - Hinamatsuri. And just like all other important moments during the year, this celebration has its' special sweets. This is Sakura mochi, sweet rice cakes filled with red bean paste. Hanami's getting closer. It's the time when everyone gets out, goes to picnic under the blooming cherries and simply enjoys watching the trees in bloom...
